The UCLA Bruin Football team just took one of the nastiest beat downs I've ever witnessed in my life. About the only positive thing you can say about this game is thank the heavens that it wasn't broadcast on national television. I watched it on Versus and seriously which one of you even know which channel that is on your remote?
BYU QB Max Hall threw for 7 touchdowns against this UCLA Football team. The UCLA defense which was supposed to be a strong suit for UCLA Football basically got bitch slapped all over the football field. Granted UCLA is banged up but there's really no other way to explain what happened on this Saturday afternoon.
A VERY good BYU Cougar team came ready to play and they just dominated a UCLA Football team that looked like they had been partying all week after the victory at Tennessee.
This BYU football team is this years "small conference" football team that's going to make a quest at perfection this year and make a strong argument for playing in the BCS title game. Offensively they were just all over the Bruins and defensively they really exposed a weak patchwork UCLA Football offensive line.
On one particular series, the UCLA football QB Kevin Craft got blindsided and dropped the ball for a fumble. On the very next play, BYU QB Max Hall threw for a 30+ yard touchdown and that pretty much sums up how it went for UCLA Bruin Football this particular Saturday.
BYU came out to make a statement. They know they don't get many opportunities to play big name schools and this game held particular national interest because of what UCLA Bruin Football had just done the week before in Tennessee.
Either this UCLA Football team is mediocre or they just weren't ready to play this week.
